Our curriculum is designed to inspire and motive pupils while providing for their academic, moral, physical, creative, personal and social development. Children learn through a careful balance of specific teaching programmes and a topic based approach.
We have designed our curriculum to be a meticulously sequenced journey of learning from the vital foundations in the Early Years, building in depth and breadth through Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Our curriculum ensures full progressive coverage of the objectives set out in the National Curriculum. From KS1, all lessons are taught by subject. The progression of learning is rigorously sequenced and content is systematically reviewed and practised to ensure that children master their year group objectives.
Our curriculum ensures every opportunity to develop children’s English is maximised. Reading and vocabulary instruction are woven throughout the curriculum, with a strong emphasis placed on written and spoken communication and language.
