Children can start Springfield Nursery in the school term following their third birthday. We offer both part-time and full-time places and morning and afternoon sessions. Coming to our nursery setting will allow your child to develop their social skills and begin to make new friends in a safe, educational, play based setting which is run by qualified professionals. It will also help to prepare your child for starting school in Reception.
If you would like to apply for a place at our Nursery, please fill in an application form and hand it into our school office. Application forms can be collected from our office.
All three and four year old children are entitled to fifteen hours of free early years education. These fifteen hours are offered as am or pm sessions, depending on availability.
Thirty hours of free, early education are available for some working parents. Parents who wish to be considered for a full-time place will need to check their eligibility the school term before their child is due to start nursery. This can be done online at childcaresupport.tax.service.gov.uk. Our school office staff at Springfield will also be happy to support you with this and to advise you about how to apply.
Eligible parents will receive a unique code which must be given to the school along with their national insurance number before the closing date for applications. All other children will be considered for a part-time place.
If you are not eligible for free thirty hours nursery education, you may be able to pay a top-up fee to enable you to access thirty hours. Please speak to the office about this, if you are interested.
