Who are we?
The FSA is a group of parent and staff members and volunteers who run events for our whole school community. Joining the FSA is a great way of meeting other parents, getting involved in the life of the school and raising much needed funds for exciting projects. Springfield is lucky to have such a dedicated and caring community around it, and we welcome anyone who wishes to get involved in the FSA. We currently have a small committee of members who hold roles such as Chair, Treasurer and Communications Officer.
What do we do?
The purpose of our FSA is a collective endeavor between staff and families to make Springfield an even better place for our children. Staff and parents work together to host events that enrich our children’s time with us, whilst also raising much needed funds for projects. Our children have told us that fundraising for a soft, multi-sport surface for our bottom playground is a priority for them. We would also like to introduce soft parts play in the playground and contribute to the school’s solar panel project.
We’re well underway with raising much needed funds for the school. See our total here and thank you to everyone who has contributed so far!
Getting involved
We welcome anyone who wishes to get involved! If you have time to spare, getting involved in the running of a uniform sale, organising stock or cutting cakes for a cake sale is a great way to do your part. Are you able to donate to the school? We gratefully receive cake donations, reusable uniform and books/toys to resell at events (keep an eye out for messages for what we’re looking for!) Do you think you have another skill which would be helpful? Get in touch! The volunteers make up the bulk of our FSA and you can commit as little or as much as you are able to do.
How to get updates?
Joining the FSA Announcements WhatsApp group is a great way to hear about what’s going on, what we might need, or when to pop along to the next meeting. Scan the QR code to join automatically or speak to a member/volunteer about joining.
